No apology from thief who stole off nan & pop

A betting scheme promoter who “scoffed at the losses” of victims and claimed to have an unblemished record has had his apology described as “unconvincing” by a judge.

Yesterday in Stirling Magistrates Court, Magistrate Andrew Matthews said while Michael James Brown was “clearly sorry the victims lost their money”, it appeared he was “not sorry for having committed the offences”.
